Special thanks for the donations of time, space, and services that make this possible!

What is it?

A Utah Children’s Choir chapter in the Lehi/Saratoga Springs area, with a new satellite-based format called Conexa. Singers will be learning fewer songs and coming together with other Conexa groups for concerts. We offer:

  • many years of experience with children’s choral and vocal training; both directors are Level 1 Kodály trained

  • weekly focus on music literacy education and ear training

  • wide choral repertoire, focusing on music that is high quality, fun and interesting to learn and perform, and always has a positive message

  • promotion of age-appropriate, healthy singing skills

  • commitment to the idea that all children can sing—no auditions needed, all skill levels welcomed

  • performances (end of semester), solo opportunities, and connection with other musical groups, instrumentalists, and performers

Who? When?

Singers ages 8-16 are invited to join one of two groups:

  • after school Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 (Lehi Arts Center, 685 N Center St, Lehi) or

  • if interest allows: daytime/homeschool Tuesdays 10:30-12 (Lehi Arts Center, 685 N Center St, Lehi) (contact us for info)

The season runs September-May.

For the first year, we are all treble (soprano & alto) but have some accommodation for young changing voices—contact us for more info!

We would like to open to more ages eventually if there is interest. If you have youth under 8 or over 16 who might like to join, please click here.

What is Conexa?

The name “Conexa” means “to connect.” Singers will--

  • connect with music– varied, beautiful, and fun music chosen with attention to meaning and message, healthy singing techniques, and musicianship

  • connect with other youth– ensembles will build unity in their own rehearsals then come together with other locations and ensembles for concerts

  • connect with the community– performing choral music is an opportunity to share our messages and skills with friends and family
